"archaism is the prospect of a ghost
before you or before you, whichever is more easy to believe.
stuck between the morning and the eve.
I've always felt more free, doing what I desired,
let irrationality get the better of your dreams.
the more left for tomorrow, the more that I can sleep."
wanted to comment on this section in particular.
archaism is an interesting concept relative to this medium because we are simultaneously forging what is more or less a "new" branch of poetics, with largely antiquated tools at our disposal. the devices and barometers by which we measure the value of artwork are not only our subjective outlooks but also the sum result of learned responses. at any rate - you always had a way of opening grandiose doorways via minimalism. very cool.
the following portion about that precious sliver of time -- between dusk and dawn, the vacuous moments of solitude -- being so important to your creative motives was something that stuck with me heavily. it is during these moments when we are unhindered by distraction and consequence that we experience what you call freedom, what seems strangely like a liberation to be who we "are".
i hope you're still struck by our own strange brand of lightning here and there.
thanks, as always.
