Instead of diving into the cliffside
Into the abyss contained within the human eye,
You improvised.
Carefully crucifying yourself out on the stoops outside
Perfectly capturing the mood of the night.
The moon hitting your face with its luminous light.
Next day everyone sees you in your most humorous side
Your breathtaking beautiful smile,
Contorted to reflect the shape of a hooligan's crime.
Sacrificing your life to make me finally cry.
Tears roll down my cheek until they dry.
Feeling annihilated while a fire brews inside
A hypernova in an emotionally vacuous mind
Impartial to the condition of human kind.
You and I,
Were just deified troglodytes on a puny plight.
But an ember soon grew in this cold view.
Vetiver with divine scents now bloomed
Putting periwinkle to heal my soul's wounds.
Lavender for sleep. proprioceptive vascular release
Balancing my dreams,
Astral traveling into an atmosphere of peace.
No monster with Tyrannosaur teeth
Or a boogieman massacring beings.
No airplane going down while its passengers scream.
Just an array of honey locust trees, cerulean colored seas,
And clouds with texture of vanilla custard cream.
Instead of isolation my window shutters are open
Butterflies flutter as I utter to the flowers this poem.
The entire universe enjoys it. As I flirt with this moment.
