its about virtual reality kind of, in the sense that "westworld" is like a theme park for lack of a better word where its the old west. cowboys/indians or whatever. but its huge like a whole city and all the surrounding country i guess, and everyone in it are highly advanced robot type things, so people pay to go there, the things can't hurt them, but you can do whatever you want. bang prostitutes, get in gunfights etc. everything is super realistic
but in them constantly advancing the "hosts"/robot people they are basically becoming sentient is the premise i guess.
