For example...me in work is not the same as me outside work. Because it can't be, because I would be fired...everyone tailors their personality to the circumstance they are in...from an evolutionary standpoint it's an incredibly important ability to have...going back to the days when if you didn't fit in...you died...if you didn't act in a certain way, even if it was against your character, you were an outcast and back then, outcasts did not survive...that's why we still have an innate desire to fit in, and that's why we adjust who we are from time to time...we evolved that ability to survive.
