Perhaps it was your sterility or the inferiority You gathered from a life growing up with uh oh for a dad, but you have fallen In love with the image of what success looks like. You have made many compromises on your egocentric path. You were born stoic and yet died epicurean. For you it is not about doing, but the recognition. Having authority is different from being and authority. In the similar vein, impressing people is utterly different from being truly impressive. I recommend you stop being an astrophysicist and start becoming a student.
