Fuck store purchases. Buy from a gun show. No need to go through a background check that way. Unless you have pretty much a clean slate. If you do then you will get a BC through the NICS which I'm pretty sure will get you approved anyway.

The BC simply recognises criminal past & present history. Any mental illnesses and/or prior convictions. Shit that you would expect anyway.

However, I wouldn't even really recommend an AR15 due to it's inability to shoot accurate rounds. Unless, of course you buy a muzzle break for it.
