The rules state that in California, if you wish to fill out the democratic ballot, you must be registered as a Democrat or NPP.

The article below is a story released June 3rd about a poll worker in Orange County reporting that in her training leading up to yesterday's primary, her and her 17 co-workers were given strict instructions to give NPP(No Party Preference) voters a Provisional Ballot if they requested a Democratic ticket..

If you don't know, 9 times out of 10 a provisional ballot is never counted.

So what happened?

"Update – it's getting worse. Almost every young person who comes in here to vote is not on the roster. We look online and it shows that they are registered and it tells them this is their polling place but they are not on my roster so I have to give them a provisional ballot."

"I would say that nearly half of everybody who has come into my precinct was either not on the roster or they had their party changed or it says that they were supposed to receive vote by mail ballots and they never received them. Having to hand someone a provisional ballot when they clearly did everything right is heartbreaking. I sincerely hope that it's not this bad throughout the entire state."

"So, in line to vote before 7 am.
In Santa Monica.
They have 1. Just 1. Booth to vote Democrat.
They are already urging people to vote provisionally--even some people who brought in mail-in ballots.
I signed the voter roll, voted, and handed the guy my ballot.
He told me the counting machine "isn't running yet", AFTER he put MY ballot into the bottom of it. Suddenly he was able to print reciepts of *something* from the top.
Got no reciept.
Finding out later that the ballots that go in the bottom are provisional.
I'm sure this is the least of the fuckwaddery that will happen in CA today, but I do not trust that my vote will be counted.
In fact, I know my vote won't be counted."

"After working the polls today, I'm disappointed to say that I am thoroughly fucking disgusted at how this country conducts elections. I worked today on a poll team with 4 other people, only one of whom was competent to do the work.
Not to mention, we were forced to hand out dozens of provisional ballots (i.e. feel-good votes that aren't counted), because they literally had no polling place assigned by the state and/or because no mail ballot was sent to them. In other words, incompetence at the local, county, and state level.
Elections in the country are utter bullshit. What I saw today was that whoever is running a polling location has great power to shape the results of their precinct. A coordinated effort of scheming could easily steal the elections, and get away with it due to the extremely poor safeguards against cheating."

"I am so upset!! I just got off the phone with my grandma in San Diego, who for the first time was so excited to vote for someone. She registered to vote MONTHS ago at the DMV and never received her mail-in ballot. Today we checked, and she's apparently not registered at all.

Let me repeat that, she registered to vote WELL before the deadline, and she is not registered today and does not get to vote."

"So I'm 3rd in line to vote at 7 am and the polling place was not set up. When they finally do, they can't find my name on the list. They make some calls and then try to hand me a provisional fucking ballot. I'm like no, I don't want a provisional ballot. They tell me I will have to go to the county register to vote. I was fuming! So I call the registers office and they say I should have been on that list. "

"The election fraud has started!! "Our precinct chair called out sick - they have all the supplies - we only have provisional ballots." That aren't verified until 30 days after election date. WTF?!? Asked the supervisor present why he wasn't driving over to their house to pick-up supplies, got a blank stare. No checking ID's, no verifying if registered voter. Now the question is - who is the precinct chair voting for? "

"UPDATE: They ended finding my name on a supplemental list. It took about an hour of me pushing and not giving up. 5 different people told me they did not see my name. Then they tried to send me to another location, I said NO, this is where I am supposed to be. I called the 1-800-481-VOTE number. They said they saw I was registered, but because my name was not on the list at the precinct I had vote using a provisional ballot. I told them no way! My vote WILL count, and I was sitting there until they figured this out... Fast forward an hour, Somehow, somewhere another list appeared and my name was on it. Don't give up! If I would have left after the 4th or 5th person told me I wasn't on the list, I would have not have voted. "

"Just voted. What a mess. Couldn't find my name even though I have been registered democrat for 40 years, even though the state website shows I am registered and eligible to vote in this election. Had to vote provisionally. I requested and received a democratic ballot. To top it off, ballot counter on box was broken as was touch screen machine. Never have I encountered such a mess. Good news is there was a line at 7:00 AM."

"Ucla polls report 50% of ballots that went out were provisional due to no "blue list" of newly registered democrats."

FIFTY PERCENT.

There are 4.3 million NPP voters in California.

There are 1.6 million newly registered voters.

Margin of victory? 500,000.

The race has been over. You're just in denial. I did not read this post; try using a hyperlink next time. Just copy and paste the URL of the website you're referencing. Real easy.

It's over boof. It's all over man. Go make a veggie smoothie and move on champ
