well fig, the first thing is stop thinking of jazz as an eclectic form of music reserved for old black men. Especially in the past half century, jazz has found its way into every form of music and every form of music's found its way into jazz. So there's things you'd listen to now that do, actually, jazz.
if you want to get into listening to it, just ease in. a lot of Grover Washington and George Benson would be loved by most of this site. you just find guys you like through stuff like that and keep going deeper and deeper. Your first way in would probably be through ATCQ/Robert Glasper/Esperanza Spalding and whatnot.
