Fight situation favored Conor as much as it possibly could have @ 170. He's an awkward striker with a generally stiff chin and confounding footwork who used his size to determine distance and pace for everyone he fought *because* he was fighting well below his actual weight class.
Matched up against someone of equal size, all that went away. The Diaz's have stupid iron chins and have no problem closing distance to strike because they are completely reckless standing up. Once it went to the ground, Conor was already mentally checked out - he had no alternate gameplan.
