Diaz is now a bonafide money weight fighter. he won't win a title, but I don't think he, or any of his fans, really care if he does or not. I just wanna see him in big fights.
as for McGregor, I think this assures that he will stick around longer at featherweight, and it confirms my suspicion that RDA beats him handily. But you're correct @
uh-oh to say that it doesn't affect his featherweight prospects much, and probably not his lightweight prospects (other than postponing them). He's definitely no welterweight, though.
also, you're right to say that Diaz frustrated him and started to make the fight his game - kept McGregor at the end of his punches, ate punches to give them back and won the battle of attrition. McGregor shooting for a takedown was the first time he tapped in the fight. the subsequent tap was just academic.
