I don't hate this country. I just find it harder and harder to live among the uneducated, hateful, hypocritical day-to-day morons that outnumber people who actually have an interest outside of what's best for them now! now! now!
That said, if the inmates actually took over the asylum, the wife and I agreed on Germany. Economic stability, generally moderate political views, beneficial social programs without overly burdensome tax systems, and a wide variety of climate and culture, with all the technology and amenities of a first world country. The language is the only bitch of it all.

I agree with these sentiments and agree with your choice of Germany
However, Germany's under mad stress right now from the Syrian refugee asylum situation right now. Was talking (recently) with the dean of the engineering college I attended when he was visiting Boston. He basically implied that because of the EU's failure to intervene and deal with the Syrian influx, plus the strain that caring for thousands of homeless&homesick refugees is putting on their culture and economy, meant that nationalistic and isolationist views were starting to really gain traction in a concerning way.
If you do relocate, I very highly recommend Baden-Württemberg
