the only way INTELLIGENT life, from one planet, traveled and met INTELLIGENT life on another planet, is if they are basically in the same solar system, i will MAYBE entertain the same neighborhood of the same galaxy
but even that is too far fetched. space is way too big to travel any meaningful distance. there is no folding space. white holes don't exist. wormholes don't exist. there is no fuel we can even comprehend to push any craft at speeds close enough to being efficient within our own galaxy, and even if we did come up with some nuclear fission gasoline that could move use at light speed or even half of that, a single speck of space dust would annihilate the space craft
