People say I work hard and carry my weight in the plantation
But life for a slave is hard and too rough for regulation
And because I harvest on a daily basis
Its become difficult to remind me of something sacred
So even though I'm middle aged and venting with the world
My whole life in the field depends on me finding a pearl
But even if its potent it doesnt promise a bright future
Being an infidel frightened every path leads to murder
You could call me a Neanderthal choosing a pagan diety
Facing walls being unintelligible toward any society
Ignorance - the undiscovered religion
Cut out that stone age, paving the way for civilization
