the future of Bellator will be interesting. on the one hand, they're willing to put freak fights like this together, and people do actually watch. on the other hand, they sign guys like Benson Henderson, legitimate talents that butt heads with the UFC/Reebok for various reasons. I'd like to see Bellator, WSOF, One FC etc remain viable; free agency gives elite fighters more leverage to negotiate their contracts with the UFC, and those organizations let people continue to make a living once they've declined.
I don't like shit like last night, but I do generally like Scott Coker's style of matchmaking. Unless the UFC really fuck up somewhere, Bellator will be there to pick up the UFC's scraps and put on as many fun ones they can think of. that being said, I paid more attention to Blackout 6 than I did Bellator last night, which is saying something.
