i used a snorkel to go spear fishing in hawaii....did that a bunch until a homie went after an octopus and it inked the water, couldn't see SHIT...it was terrifying. I decided I needed to get back to the beach but almost got fucked up swimming back 'cause I hit a reef system. Had to swim around that, and then back towards the beach. You can swim for like 3 minutes straight and only make like 30 feet of progress because of the constant push and pull of the tide...i was exhausted and decided FUCK SNORKELING unless it's a submarine snorkel line-up to pull fresh air into the boat.
