you can't pirate protools to my knowledge. i think there is a free limited protools. like you can record and have a few tracks but it doesn't have any of the plugins or anything.

you can't pirate protools because you need an ilok thing i'm pretty sure, basically hardware that comes with protools you plug in via usb

that said protools is only the "best" because its what everyone uses, like if "insert producer" records a track at his home studio in pro tools, he can easily bring it and his settings of the entire project into the real studio and pick it up where he left off. but adobe audition, logic, reaper, and a bunch of other daws are just as good.

what are you trying to do? rap? make beats?

if you wanna make beats you don't need pro tools at all. fl studio is all you need. you can also get reason or ableton its all preference

if you wanna just rap/record you can get by even with something like audacity
