I feel your pain but like badweather said, let it go
I went to pickup some items from a hardware store last year, was gone all of 15 minutes, come back and see that someone keyed my car on the driver door and front quarter panel - which I only bought two months prior. I said fuck and let out a sigh, there was no cctv in the car park so nothing could be done. Lucky I have a silver car I guess so its only visable up close.
In short, its only a material possession.
