Blinded by ambition I sought higher ground a few meters back
where the prey is being hunted by us & other pack leaders..
That is a story of another era, a time when machinery was witchcraft
our introduction of each came from the courthouse I was hitched at..
Summer had me hotter than a pig's back, the dialogue, complicated
I recall we congregated near front row in sight for observations
"Life can be easier" chuckled the salesman, grinning under a top hat

the crowd separated by jeers & excitement, "Do we have any drawback?"
shuffling in a military esque formation repeating every word & thought that...
became clouded by hysteria and mixed in the huddle
a craved lunatic that became I carry a whisk for the troubles
smooth it out in a second....right there I reckon..

my homeboy used to love the grandslam at Denny's
