let me quickly explain how AVERAGE WORKS

in this situation they used 112 years of observations. if you note the website, it says it's based on observations since 1900 up to 2012.

that means in those 112 years. there has been 112, 8 magnitude quakes. maybe 112 of them happened in 1991, and the other 1 was in 1901. if you combine them all, then divide by the amount of time it AVERAGES 1 per year.

no obviously, that's not how this happened.. it was most likely 2-3 on year.. 1 another year.. none for a few years.. etc.

but it still averages out to 1 a year.

the fact that I have to explain to you basic things like how averages work, makes it really laughable that you want anyone to take your ability to make predictions based on data extremely laughable.
