also - saying "there's going to be an earthquake somewhere" is hardly a prediction at all. there literally thousands per year. several per day even. Just most don't occur in major cities nor are they high in magnitude. but calling for a large earthquake before month is over is incredibly vague, and leaves you room to say things like "oh I was a lil off". when it's either not where you thought, or as big as you thought.

like I could call that somewhere, a black man or woman will be killed by police before the month is over. now.. that's no guarantee but the chances are high. it doesn't make me some profit or prove anything when I can predict what is already known to be very likely
