Damn, tough to vote on having read Frank's already and with Vulgar's the fresher in mind. Had to re-read.
Vulgar had a lot of titbits I liked that stood out as I read, especially "Swiss chocolate moons" and "coin slot machines on public restrooms".
Both conjured up instant snippets of brilliance that I felt deserved quoting. I liked that you also didn't always rhyme, you let the turns of phrase take prominence and that's something perhaps I could work on.
It was a refreshing read, I'm not sure I got it completely other than being about the EU I felt? Maybe it went over my head in parts but I like what I like.
LOL
Frank: I wasn't a HUGE fan of the constant -dad rhymes. I was almost relieved when you broke it up midway through for a sentence and thought you would defer away from it, then you reverted straight back to it and it took a little away from my enjoyment if I'm completely honest as I just feel that ish is a little lazy on the writers part (No offence, I hate it when I hear DNA keep using "out of here" and "nigga" in his shit too lol) but THEN you had that flip right at the end. It made it all worth it, for me. Not so much a twist ending as a satisfying one that almost brought it full circle and had me like "Oh, that's why he did it!". Suddenly it was like a two-steps-ahead chess move thought out for checkmate.
It's essentially what won me over. I can't lie. This one was close to me which is prob why votes are scarce, no one wants to be the first to vote on battles these days.
I'm going with Frank this week.
