if you're a public figure, you should probably have the common fucking sense not to broadcast it. just use your imagination and crank one out to anne of green gables before your next commercial shoot or whatever.
i understand people can't control their fetishes etc. but sometimes you just have to keep it in check for the sake of the society around you. knowing his entire livelihood depended on it, this fool still was putting himself out there and trusting people not to expose him. jared fogle is not only a pedophiliac, he's a stupid one. case closed.

As much as its in your nature to be attracted to children, or becomes your nature, it's NOT in your nature to be bound by society and let it dictate your actions. Some people lack empathy, and it's a combination of traits and factors that contribute. I, and you, perhaps, have the capability to not act on behaviors that we consider directly harmful to others... or do we? What is and isn't at the top of the immoral ladder to dependent upon several ever evolving factors. Murder is murder unless it's in self defense. Where do you draw the line at self defense? Perhaps a coworker threatening a job position that causes your family to lose your way of life is a societal equivalent to fighting to the death over the last scrap of food. Where we draw the lines and understanding that there are lines that move is important. We have a cultural that demands punishment to those who break our moral code, but not everyone feels that code is worthy, and society often seems to be teetering on chaos, so who cares, one could say. Pedophilia is just another example. They can't help their attraction, no more than they can help whatever caused them to cultivate and allow or act upon the attraction.
But yeah.
