I dunno. A lot of people will be inspired by something big, the elephant in the room, they'll paint you the whole picture & a paragraph on the back about WHY they painted it. How humanity's love of power is terrible & universal. Why the ONE relationship that felt right, felt right.
They spend so much time making sure that everything they say is true in the context of what they write. And 60% of people will FULLY UNDESTAND THEM and then think they're wrong anyways, because that's what we do.
Deconstruct things until we understand them, pick out the parts we like, and take them to heart
I write about small instants. What a tiger in a zoo thinks of freedom. How alcoholism is creeping into my friend's life. When you wake up a from a dream as a kid & have a hard time accepting that we can conjure up entire realities that don't exist. Why a surgeon might look for understanding & why he might fail. How accepting that we are no longer children means we'll never be who we once were.
I think I write about partial possibilities and not whole truths.
Those things aren't worth writing about for a lot of people because it's so hard to make people GET it
So I try to write in a way that you only NEED to get bits and pieces, bits and pieces that mean something by themselves and mean something much better all together IF I can get you to understand it

Muff so if I can't get you to understand my verses it's because I'm not as good a writer as the people you mentioned, but the way I write is supposed to put me in a different category from them anyways
