Maybe we could try an opt-out line limit? If both writers agree, the restriction can be dropped, but it would be enforced by default. Line limits are a restriction but I think they would promote more creativity and selective word choice to be effective in fewer lines. I think this would also help with vote quality / consistency because it is easier to give detailed feed on shorter pieces. |

The 'both writers agree' clause can extend to pretty much anything. Negotiate your own restrictions and conditions on battles! I like it. General rules will remain the same though, but creating exceptions on an individual basis is legit.
