@ fraze, this is a valid point. I don't see why a line limit would encourage or discourage conciseness though. For me, personally, a line limit is daunting because it interferes with my stream of thoughts. If there is no wall in the distance, I won't be worried about going beyond limitations/parameters. I'd rather poetry have ultimate freedom of expression/length/etc.

I feel you, but on the other hand, that shit can work against you.
For example, if someone posted a short verse, say, 8 bars, and that shit was done perfectly; it's a super solid well written verse, flawless.
Then, the other person post like 64 lines, unless that person is ass cheeks, you're bound to come up with enough material to kind of make it seem like that verse was better than the 8 bar verse.
