Rules and Information

Basic Information
•Matches Posted: Every Sunday night or Monday
•Check ins: Tuesdays
•Pieces Due: Every Friday (Midnight Eastern)
•Votes Due: Matches will close on Sunday (Midnight Eastern). If matches are not closed by then, the person with the most votes at the current time will be awarded the win, regardless of how close the voting is.
•Extensions: Granted only if opponent allows!
•Line Limit: There is no line limit unless indicated during specific weeks.

No-Shows
•If an opponent does not check in
you must still post at least 6 lines
of something to get the no-show win
•1st no-show: Warning
•2nd no-show: May be booted from the league
*at the discretion of the moderators

No Check In
•If you don't check in, you lose your match.
Don't hand out free wins!
•If your opponent doesn't check in, your match will be recombined. Please check in!

Topics
•opponents will write to the same topic, unless there is a "topic thread" for that specific week.
topics will consist of qoutes, pictures, or other unorthodox things.

Season Layout
•Season length will be determined by activity - as of now it's 20 weeks
if it dwindles, season will be shortened. If it is strong, we'll go the full 20 weeks.
•Playoffs will be determined by how much activity we receive throughout the course of season.
•Challenges will be integrated once we determine if the the level of activity warrants a challenge thread.
•challenges will consist of a topic of the moderators choosing set in a cypher setting where participants can post to the topic.

Voting
•Each competitor must vote on at least 3 full matches per week
•Voting on no-show matches does not count
•Voting should be completed by Sunday night.
•Post your links in your check in.
If they aren't there, then you didn't vote.
•Votes should be quality votes. Now, there are differing opinions on what is considered quality... but at the minimum, you should at least provide an explanation for your vote. "Vote: Poet X because their piece sounded better" is not an acceptable vote.

If you choose not to vote, the following consequences will apply:

•First time - one vote will be deducted for each missing link on your next match
•2nd DQ for voting - You will be signed out of the LGPA for 1 weeks.
