[uh-oh]

i just started reading "the world of ice and fire" by the way. i didnt make it far at all, but one thing did strike me as interesting

the wildlings have an old folk tale or whatever you call it, about giants and the children of the forest both claiming a cave as there own. they bring in humans to mediate and say who it belongs too, and the humans convince them that neither of them want it. that cave is part of a system of caves that actually tunnels right under the wall

that'd be crazy if the cave exists, and the white walkers just take winterfell out of the blue lol. bypassing the nights watch
