Before we developed these trenchant views
We were cave dwellers transcending truth
Our every move was in a sense the truth
The tools one's hands possess depends on you!
Mud and clay inspired nomads to settle soon
Shelter healed our infected wounds,
Cyanotic flesh turned blue.
Celebrating the harvest in a festive mood
We danced under the majestic moon
Abundance of food didn't bless our gene pool
The Neolithic man lost his digestive juice
Stomach membrane became phlegm produced
The myriad of illnesses bled and bloomed
Our hues began to allude to death, and soot
Fire rampaging our bodies, no wonder sanity godly.
Establishment monkeys, who are ravenous hungry
Medicine only brought a sequela of avarice zombies
Ibuprofen turned the head of my family foggy.
Our legacy lives on through stakes and runes
On the opposite side of that, slaves and nukes
I set the mood by digging my own grave
Reading books just to be civil in my traits
I mustn't lose face,
And look like Dejango spitting on his slaves.
Free, the grimace is the same
Maya makes me prefer to be enslaved
Kissing my chains, a homeless living from change.
To hell with steak, I crave what lizard's can taste
Reptilian brain creating an ode to God by a crystalline lake.
Servitude has shaped my ribs and waist
Can't sit or lay without pain lingering for days.
Bloodthirsty we're fingering our veins
Growing sicker every minute of the day.
Whoever's out there, please lift me from this pain
But, it's all up to me, and my habitual ways
God laughing, so I flee away to my log cabin
Where Nature made Thoreau's thoughts happen
Inquiry first... the nature of self- comes after
Captain log: The youngin hatching, what a plot!
Pollen infused oxygen becomes the magic dust
The flow of the universe is a massive flux,
A living organism that subtly asks of us:
When will all this madness stop?
Some hot shot should post their answer up.
