to get into a contenders match you have to, more or less, win a few battles in a row. I explained it all in an earlier mag but if you win twice in a row its a good chance, 3 times and you're pretty much guaranteed. It's a muddy thing but basically to pick contenders we use your record from the last 3 weeks (4 if needed) + the quality of your drops (like 3 straight noshow wins is less valuable than 2 wins over opponents who showed)

so if you win next week, you might be depending on who's around.
