idk I think he has the right attitude towards writing
He's pretty honest with us and responsive to feedback, I mean that's better than 90% of dudes today

This wasn't terrible. Trying to 'emulate' rappers or writers always comes off weird, because no one can do their style like they do, because they've been learning & practicing it forever
But don't let anyone here tell you different- every writer tries to incorporate bits and pieces of other writers' skillsets into their stuff
