No, you misunderstand. I respect the hell out of Nas. He's one of my favorites ever. What's frustrating is that he has spent 20 years trying to be something he's not way too often. He still can make great music. There were some great tracks on Life Is Good. But he seems completely unaware of his own strengths.

So yes, his influence and respect make him more relevant than Prodigy. That was a bad word choice. But Prodigy understands who he is and puts himself in better position to succeed. Nas is fighting a battle that won't ever be won.

In short, Nas is too talented to have had this career.
