ESPN's coverage of the this 2nd day of the draft was a sad excuse for television. I mean, they're always greedy and they're always resting on their laurels...but at least I still usually wanna tune in. But this is a new low. Particularly towards the end of the 3rd round, it was literally 5 minutes of commercials for every 3 minutes of draft coverage. Also, I want to hear Mel and Todd inform/analyze/argue/predict...whereas I do not want to hear Trey Wingo's long-winded backstories about the kid's upbringing and his family.
NFL network had "the C-team" out, and also too many commercials. So I didn't really wanna watch that either.
If I had any guts I'd boycott ESPN for all of their bullshit, and I'd follow through with my threat to boycott the NFL and not watch it-- for horrible officials who treat a clean hit to the chest the same as a viscous head-hunt, among other things.
But I guess I don't have guts. I love the game, and have for most of my life. What can I say.
