I got beat all the time, did it make me behave? Nope it made me act even worse...I made their life miserable in return...with my younger brother my parents decided they would talk more, explain things to him, he turned out to be the best behaved out of all 4 of us, an angel compared to me.

i wasn't beaten all the time, but i was beaten for some pretty lousy reasons
it didn't make me act out though. I just grew up not liking the idea of getting into trouble.
