a huge amount of everyday racism is covert, subconscious and even unintentional (unless you're on the internet i guess) but it definitely is still a factor in the states as far as how different people relate and interact.

all right. thanks. we have never had this exact kind of problem over here, simply because there are way fewer black people. but there are a lot of bad feelings over immigrants (esp muslims) that have been growing over the last couple of months. i suppose it's not entirely comparable tho. but the covert hatred and the underlying problems seem to be the same.
