i've wanted to get in on this a few times today but its too big of an issue for me to fit in an easily digestible post.

but for this case specifically, freddie grey was a drug dealer with upwards of 18 arrests. even if he was doing nothing wrong, he was still in a drug zone and the cops wanted to talk to him and he ran.

if he wasn't a drug dealer, and if he didn't run. he isn't killed in police custody

thats not excusing the police but the rioters and people need to understand that "freddie gray" isn't "everybody". unless "everybody" are crack dealing repeat offending criminals who run from police.

now then you can get into the talks about the society and economic conditions of his neighborhood, schools, etc, which lead these young men into making the decisions to basically become criminals, but i'm lazy and tired and you know already.
