See, this doesn't hurt Drake's reputation because he's honest about who he is. No one has ever listened to Drake because they think he's tough.
But Diddy is worse than worthless. He's a guy with an ear for talent and a habit of destroying the careers of anyone he signs: Notorious B.I.G., Craig Mack, Mase, Shyne, Black Rob, G. Dep, Boyz n da Hood, Trinidad James, the list goes on. The Lox and 8Ball & MJG were lucky to get away fast enough to survive. He's already well on the way to fucking up the careers of Machine Gun Kelly and French Montana.
I'm not saying all of those guys should have been great. But a pattern that obvious falls on the record label and its megalomaniac founder. He pushes for in-house, glossy production and doesn't allow his artists to grow or to make the music they most want to make. He's done a little better with R&B, but that's probably more because he's willing to admit he doesn't know everything about R&B. In rap, he's a poison.
