Sorry, I'm not going to drag this old ass debate out again, I just want to say as a decades long writer and performer, the delivery is in the words. You can drive a truck like a sports car if you choose, but it's still going to be a truck.
The ability to spot delivery is important in this sport.
Have you ever handed a written rhyme to someone that doesn't rhyme?
They invariably say, read it to me. It's not the mere fact that it is in an audio format that makes it clear, it's that you know how it should go. If you hand it to an experienced emcee, they will read it first then ask you to spit it. Big diff @ obj
