I can tell you this. Each day is new. Each time we see someone we've know for our entire lives for the first time each day is a new experience. We just get cocky, selfish and self centered. Lose sight of that and before you know it, were regretting what we don't have anymore.
Paradoxically, we never had it to begin with. Everything is on loan in this short life of ours. Even the "family" we have. Might as well enjoy it while we're here. Just my 2 cents.
