Any TV savants out there?

Looking to get a TV, primarily for movies - but a bit of gaming.
- obv 1080p / hd / quick refresh, the standard stuff
- i'd say no smaller than 65, it's a good space to fill
- budget, $1-1.5k

suggestions?
