Championship Match: Knucklehead vs. Sn00p {Sn00p wins}
Looking back, this battle was better than I remember. Kind of surprised that the champ match was just 10 lines. Probably could’ve been a lot better if they had gone more, and it probably would’ve made for a more defined winner. It was a closer matchup than votes show - both were consistent and had their share of quotable lines but all voters agreed that Sn00p’s hit harder, either for better concepts or execution. Sn00p wins 6-0 and is the AOBL champ.

Dominate vs. Sharp Nine {Dominate wins}
Really dope battle here as I expected. This was the contenders match so a lot was on the line. I saw Sharps verse beforehand and thought he was gonna put up a good fight, and Sn00p and I both voted for him with a close edge. But in the end the more experienced Dominate took this, and now advances to face Sn00p for the AOBL Championship.

Rayge vs. Pimp Daddy Payne {Rayge wins}
Solid battle, nothing big but both guys came decently. Rayge had a good verse in general, no real misses with some clever lines. bleak kind of surprised me, his bars were worded well but some of his concepts were pretty lacking. His semi line was slick and if he had kept it up this could’ve been close but as stands, Rayge had the better showing and voters agreed, giving it to him 9-0

Ox vs. Cashius {Cashius wins}
This one went about how it was expected to. Ox is showing improvement every week, but it wasn’t enough to compete with Cash. Conceptually Ox did alright, but voters agreed that wording was what took away from his verse more than anything else. Cashius came with much cleaner wording and some clever concepts, he got it 8-0.

Tbh I thought this battle read like it was a good battle from a few years ago. Both guys came pretty well, but -_- was pretty decisively more consistent. Def still has some rust evident, with a few concepts being pretty played and a generally simple verse. -_- was overall pretty clever, almost all of his lines being decent if not quotable. Voters seemed to agree, giving it to Robert 9-0

Twenty One vs. namix {namix wins}
I’m fairly certain this is the first time namix has battled in a good while, but it didn’t seem to have any effect at all, coming with a pretty hard-hitting verse full of some clever wordplay. Twenty One didn’t do badly, but most felt her strongest attempts were stretched at best. Keep at it though, there’s plenty of room to grow.

Mac vs. Lotto Smirk vs. Jimbo {Lotto Smirk wins}
Mac NS’d, making this Lotto v Jimbo. Both are fairly new and it showed, both guys having their share of awkward deliveries and concepts that were just plain misses. Lotto showed he has a slight edge on Jimbo, some attempts showed he’s headed in the right direction while Jimbo showed promise, but was lacking all around. Having said that, his drop this week already shows improvement so keep at it guys. LS got it 7-0.
