You have no idea what or who you are praying to and even if this thing does exist how do you know it would want you to pray?

There are many religions other than Christianity...if something like this were to exist, is it likely it would fit completely within the parameters of one religion? Or any religion?

Also, I think it is safe to say we do not have an interventionist God.

There is no reason to believe you should have to pray.
