I think 99 times out of 100 is a stretch, but I see where you're coming from.

Although, I have no showed a lot and I can honestly say the majority of the time it has been something to do with not having the time.

I don't think it's too difficult to believe someone when they say they can't post on a certain day because of commitments, we all have things we have to do at certain times. I agree it is more than likely used as an excuse for laziness quite often, but to say basically any time someone uses their personal timetable as a reason for no showing it is an excuse for laziness is somewhat of a stretch for me.
