When I was 10 I killed a squirrel with a rock from 30 feet out after baseball practice.
Well, I paralyzed it first, then it dragged itself under a portajohn and I had to fish it out and kill it. I was a bit shocked bc it never occurred to me I could kill things so casually, so it took me like 40 minutes to put it out. Ended up beating the fuck out of it with a stick, then throwing it off the Snack Shack & boomeranging it into the local pond. Was terrified cops were gonna arrest me for 1st degree animal murder/ that I was gonna burn in hell forever
What should've been a three-minute process & a quick apology to nature, became an hour lecture in how to ruin a squirrel's day in the worst way possible
Then again if kids were taught how to kill an animal (because that's what we do sometimes as people AKA all the time we just pretend it doesn't happen & put a privacy fence around it) then I'd never have had to learn the hard way.
