Once you realize there are outlandish things going on most don't know about, you have this natural response to inform people; thinking they'll surely have the same reaction you did. When they don't, and don't, and don't then you lose hope in humanity and realize that enlightening people is pointless. Then you're living amongst the blissfully ignorant, who you care about, but hate at the same time. It's how you become dull.
