I think newer people or even people that's been around for a year or two feel pressured to come up with this long and thought out bullshit response as to why they thought it was great, why tf can't we just say "that was great" and move tf on? I personally can't think of enough bullshit to fill a large response about some dudes drop. The honest truth is I don't give a fuck enough. Why should I? Why should anybody? Why do we need feedback? I certainly don't drop writtens for feedback. I do it cause I love writing, and idc if anyone likes it or not. Y'all should be like me

If you write because you love writing, and no other reason, then why not post it on a private Tumblr or in a rhyme book?
Because you want people to read & react to what you wrote
At a deeper level, some people want criticism on what could be improved in the drop
Even deeper, people want criticism of their writing style itself. Maybe even someone that tries to do an in depth critique of their work
If I could send my shit out to a literary critic and have them analyze it for free I would just do that.
