Naw bro, multiple versions have been released over the years. They've been released on dvd, hd-dvd and Blu Ray. There's tons of these including the set that comes in the Voit-Kampt style briefcase as well as the 30th anniversary set to name a few. No doubt there was beef between Ridley Scott, the share holders and the actors for years but that's old news now. Scott was allowed a "Director's Cut" back in the day, but yeah money.
