Movie reviews can't be trusted anymore... unless you read multiple (like 5-10) ones and can realize it's most likely somewhere in the middle. There's always a handful of people who will think a movie is the best movie ever, and those are the people quoted by the film maker to prop the movie up. It's the internet's fault. So many opinions with a forum. You used to have to work and have credibility to have your opinion heard (there's a downside to that, too), but now anyone and everyone can write a movie review on their blog (there's an upside to that).
Sounds like a terrible movie. I was talking the other day about how it's hard to tell b movies apart from quality ones anymore, just based off production, because the equipment has gotten so cheap. Before, low budget films looked low budget. Now, people who have no idea how to make a good movie can look like the real thing. It's slightly confusing.
I'm old.
