given my general distrust of sports news brought to us by ESPN, paid for by Disney... I often defer to my, even limited, resources vs. their sources lol...

so in terms of his website, here's an interesting nugget:

the look/feel of lebronjames.com was stagnant for several months (if you look in the web archives/way back machine) through May of this year.

Then, it went through major rebranding in the beginning of June --- interestingly, really hammering on the "Akron" angle front and center. (Akron skyline in the hero image, and big block quotes, "JUST A KID FROM AKRON OHIO")...


And while he's always expressed his loyalty to Akron --- and differentiates it from Cleveland like must of us from Crackrun do --- the fact it was newly introduced + the timing of it definitely made it just another little hint out there.
