The guy's obviously brilliant in his field. He has a cavalier sort of charisma to him and curses in class a lot. The class in itself has an absurd bell curve and I got an A- barely studying and understanding less than half of what was on the final. All we did was watch movies about planets and shit and hear him tell stories and share his perception of reality. He entered the lecture hall a lot of the times with his head down, lost in thought and undoubtedly lost in his own vanity (a form of denial which stems from his asian heritage. Ironically he had a Japanese assistant who he constantly disparaged because he seemed to encapsulate asian culture and its modesty/denial to a T).
Now, I thank the dude for giving me an easy A in the class. Shit, sometimes I got other people to write my name down on the attendance list and j skipped the shit. But one thing that pissed me off, was the smug look on this asshole's face as he talked about how 9/11 was obviously destroyed by planes and that astrology is an ignorant science of the past.
Why? Mostly the astrology part bc it's real. Also because he seems to be a hypocrite to be real. During one class he was mocking we young undergrads by claiming how absurd human attraction is. "What's attraction come down to..." he said. "Estrogen markers" he said. "what NONSENSE" he said as girls giggled. What the fuck is this asshole doing in his spare time??? I GUARANTEE you he's sharpening his tool as often as possible. Fuck.
Now, I love and hate the guy, but sometimes when you're lost in EGO (wow I'm so smart I know more math than ANYBODY IN THE WORLD THAT MEANS I KNOW EVERYTHING INCLUDING REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY) you miss obvious, basic principles of reality. One of these things is spirit. I respect if you think that consciousness is limited to firing neurons, I just sense there's a deeper principle than that. And astrology is one of them
