cool battle

oats - didn't really care for the first four lines or so, seemed rather clunky the end rhymes there. then you broke down the fourth wall , which I originally saw as a big mistake just because it is usually tacky and never well done, but that wasn't the case here. it was really interesting. you took us through your writing process a bit, up late at night crafting a verse.


no medical analogies, those won’t fit in this stupid verse
people expect me to explore the infinite universe
my signature muse at work, Newtonian physics
if Life’s a Bitch, I can make her my Utopian Mistress.
hope is a gimmick. ha! that doesn’t fit the progression
but the rhyme does, besides I like to switch the direction

that section was really dope. witty stuff right there. and it works so well because its true. we do expect you to talk about the universe at this point. but this was a cool way to incorporate it into your verse.

strong mechanics and flow. dope concept that was well executed. good job


timeless - you went in a similar direction. tackled the same topic. insomnia , staying awake for an extended period of time. you walked us through some of the hallucinations that can and do take place when someone stays up for that long. strong concept. the execution however was only good not great. the flow was lacking and no multis hurt you.


overall - oats better all around verse
